OC Bridges Update 10/16
ONSTRUCTION NOTIFICATION
October 16, 2014
The Orange County Transportation Authority is building a series of bridges to separate trains from vehicles along the BNSF corridor in Fullerton, Placentia and Anaheim. In accordance with federal railroad safety regulations, residents should expect to hear an increase in the frequency of train horns because of construction activities on and around the railroad tracks, regardless of quiet zone designation.
Regular work hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The following construction activities have either recently completed or are anticipated to begin shortly:
Orangethorpe Avenue Overcrossing
Pile driving activities continue. Activity is on schedule to complete before the end of the year
72" waterline installation continues

Tustin Avenue / Rose Drive Overcrossing
Del Cerro Drive by-pass road opened to traffic on October 4, 2014. Drives are encouraged to observe the 25 mph speed limit
Demolition of Tustin Avenue and Rose Drive roadways have begun
Temporary intersection signalization at Richfield Road and Mira Loma Avenue
Lakeview Avenue Overcrossing
18" waterline work including bringing line under BNSF and Lakeview Avenue continues
Installation of City of Anaheim 12" sewer line is underway
Utility relocations continue
Residents and drivers should be aware that starting Monday, October 20 at 9 pm through Friday, October 24 at 5 am, the contractor will reduce lanes on Orangethorpe Avenue in the area near the intersection with Lakeview Avenue to one lane in either direction. Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed through the impacted area.

State College Boulevard Undercrossing
Installation of sewer line under the tracks at Kimberly Avenue has begun requiring lane reductions from Kimberly Avenue to Valencia Drive. These lane reductions will be in place until the end of the year.
Continue with railroad retaining walls
