Tustin/Rose Update

I’ve asked the Tustin/Rose team to look at the signal timing. (OCTA will be looking into the signal timing for the right and left turn lanes from Orangethorpe to Tustin/Rose because sometimes they don't ever turn green.)

As an update, the trucks that were parking along Orangethorpe on Saturday and this morning are bringing in the parts of the cranes that will be needed for girder placement on the Orangethorpe bridge. That activity is expected to go until the middle to end of next week.

The designer is still working on re-working the sidewalk and until that is finished, the traffic will continue on the west side of Traub. We can’t switch traffic to the newly paved portion until the pedestrian access is established.

There will be girder placements for the bridge over the railroad as part of the Tustin/Rose project later this month.

OCTA is still reviewing your request to add landscaping behind your property walls and the project wall along Rose. When a decision has been reached, I’ll report back. The gate has been added to the plan; however, I’m not sure what the height of the gate is. When I get a confirmation, I’ll let you know that as well.

And finally, there has not been a decision made regarding the removal of the false work. This is work that was anticipated to happen at night; however, we are exploring the possibility of doing the work during the day which would almost certainly require the closure of Orangethorpe for several days. When a decision is reached, it will be reported to you.

The project is 80 percent complete.
